Over the next two weeks, we will read The Crucible in class, since it is written as a play. To do well on the twice weekly quizzes, you will need to take your book home to catch up on any missed reading.
For each day's reading, you must post a response in your blog. Please include the page numbers related to the response in the title of your post, so I can keep track. This is an opportunity for you to engage with the text and develop your attitudes/opinions of its plot, characters, theme, mood, author, etc. Expressing your opinions about the text and supporting those opinions with evidence is the desired outcome of this exercise. If you struggle finding a topic to address, I've posted some possible topics for your posts below:
-What personal or real world connections can you make with the story?
-What themes are emerging in the text?
-What do you like/dislike about the writer's style?
-What biases does the writer have?
-How has the main character changed?
-What are the roles of the minor characters?
-What is the significance of the setting?
In addition, refer to the "Blog Post Rubric" in a previous post to be certain that you will earn full credit on each post. Over time, they become a significant portion of your grade.
